2024 Husqvarna FE350S
I decided to purchase a Husqvarna FE350S as a bike to ride for desert trails and Baja.  I had heard great things about how the bike feels lighter than it is and its nimbleness for trail riding (and now, I can confirm that's true).  It's got plenty of power and torque, and will rev higher than a 450 or 500.  It's a joy to ride - very trackable, yet ready to take on any trails.  Besides being a street-legal machine, it doubles as a hardcore off-roader that inspires confidence, capable of taking on anything the desert or Baja requires!

The 2024 Husqvarna FE350 introduced a new chromium–molybdenum steel frame that provides enhanced energy absorption and straight-line stability. It incorporates a new hybrid subframe composed of 60% polyamide and 40% aluminum, balancing strength with light weight.

The FE350 utilizes a 350cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC 4-stroke engine, with fuel injection and a 6-speed gearbox. The motor is surprisingly strong, with usable power throughout its rpm range. When riding, it doesn't feel as heavy as its 248lb dry weight - it's quick and nimble in any terrain. I upgraded the suspension and added performance and other modifications to make this a fantastic desert and Baja off-road bike.
