Utah

September 2020
I had a planned ride with friends in the Bishop/Mammoth Lakes area of California, but the 2020 wildfire situation in California made the air quality pretty poor. So I decided to take off for a solo ride through Utah instead. I rode from Lake Havasu through Vegas and to St. George for the first night. The next day was a beautiful ride through Zion and Bryce National Parks, and then on to Escalante for the night. The following day included some of my favorite riding heading northeast from Escalante towards Capitol Reef National Park - it's stunning scenery, and included a stop at the Kiva Koffeehouse for breakfast. I continued on to Moab for the night. Day 4 was a ride through Arches National Park, and some of the dirt roads around Moab; and Day 5 was a ride from Moab to Winslow, AZ. Then back to Lake Havasu. The weather was fantastic, and the riding was even better!
