Meeting friends and riding in Baja - what could be better? We met up in the afternoon in Tecate on the first day, and took a quick ride down to Ranch Santa Veronica for the night. The next morning (Day 2), we headed south on the Compadre Trail, and cut over to Laguna Hanson. We stopped for tacos in Valle de Trinidad, and then continued on south to Mike's Sky Rancho for the night. On Day 3, we headed back to Valle de Trinidad and then took the what is known as the Wine Road to just south of San Vicente, and continued west to the coast. We followed the coast north to Santo Tomas, before a final pavement stretch through Ensenada and on to Horsepower Ranch.
It rained that night, and we woke to wet bikes. They were mostly dry after a great Horsepower Ranch breakfast. We took a fun dirt route over to Ojos Negros, and then it was on to the Compadre Trail north and back to Tecate. After crossing the border, we loaded up our bikes and stopped at Filippi's in Jamul for pizza, before we went our separate ways back to our homes.
We enjoyed a fantastic Baja ride, and had a great time...
