Husqvarna 501 - Late December 2015
December is a great time for riding, and the period between Christmas and New Years was perfect for this ride with several of my riding buddies. We left Tecate and headed down the Compadre Trail to Ojos Negros for tacos. After tacos, we headed to Santo Tomas to cut over to the Pacific Coast and then south to Coyote Cal's, just north of Erindira, to spend the night. We were treated a beautiful sunset!
The next morning, we ran south along the coast and then cut inland to Colonet. We then headed north to take the wine road to Valle de Trinidad for more tacos. After lunch, we headed east and then south on Laguna Diablo and finally reached San Felipe and the Hotel El Cortez.
After a fantastic sunrise the next morning, we headed back north taking the road skirting Laguna Diablo, and back to Valle de Trinidad for more tacos (it's our favorite Baja taco joint). Then we headed north on some of the Baja race course and to the Kurt Caselli Memorial. After paying our respects, we continued north taking more of the Baja race course towards Ojos Negro, and then followed the Compadre Trail back to Tecate.
We had great weather, fantastic food, good times, and awesome riding!
